Record Pre-Entries for Isle of Man Easter Festival of Running 2026

The Isle of Man Easter Festival of Running has reached a new milestone in 2026, with a record 772 pre-entries confirmed ahead of the event weekend.

This year’s entries reflect a strong and diverse field with 412 men and 360 women registered. The festival continues to attract athletes across all age groups, including 444 senior competitors, alongside a wide spread of junior and veteran categories from Under 16 through to Vet 80+.

The event’s appeal continues to grow as shown by the geographic reach. While 276 entrants are from the Isle of Man a significant 485 competitors are travelling from the UK, alongside international representation from Ireland, France, and Germany.

A total of 468 athletes have committed to the full festival, taking on all three races across the weekend.

Race Participation

  • Friday – Port Erin 10K sponsored by IQ-EQ: 711 entries (386 men, 325 women)
  • Saturday – Peel Hill Race sponsored by Full Factory Winnerswear: 519 entries (289 men, 230 women)
  • Sunday – Douglas 5K The Outback Sportsbar: 599 entries (328 men, 271 women)

Strong University and Club Presence

The festival continues to be a major draw for university teams with large squads from clubs such as Leeds Doss AC (88), Manchester Alehouse (62) and Edinburgh University Hare & Hounds (39), alongside entries from Cambridge, Oxford, Durham, and many others.

Local running clubs are also well represented, including Manx Harriers, Western AC, Northern AC and IOM Veterans AChighlighting the strength of the island’s athletics community.

Race Day Entries Still Available

Although pre-entries have now closed, a limited number of places will be available on race day:

  • Friday (Port Erin) Rushen FC Clubhouse, 16:45–18:15
  • Saturday (Peel): From 13:00
  • Sunday (Douglas): From 09:30

Entries will close 30 minutes before the start of each race.
