There are now 6 weeks to go until our beloved festival returns, after two years of absence. The great news this month for our visitors was the announcement of the removal of travel restrictions for both vaccinated and unvaccinated travellers.
Entries now stand at 278! With multiple teams from UK/Irish universities now entered, and several strong local teams set to enter, the battle for silverware this year is looking to be a close one. Have you entered yet? A reminder that online entries will remain open until 2 April 2022 at 23:59pm. Entries after this time will be subject to a late entry fee.
Peel Hill Prize Money Bonus
We are delighted to announce that long-term Peel Hill Race sponsor Full Factory Winnerswear has generously offered to provide bonus prize money for the first three runners in this year’s hill races. Special one-off bonuses for 2022 are:
1st – £200
2nd – £125
3rd – £75
In addition to this, everyone who enters the hill race by the closing date on 2nd April will receive one of the popular commemorative hill race bobble hats! This is a magnificent gesture by Martin Bullock and his team. These awards are in addition to the usual prize money, details of which will be announced shortly.
Friday 10k Start Time
To allow travelling festival attendees ample time to arrive on Friday 15 April, we have pushed back the 10k start time to 7.00pm. This is 15 minutes later than previously stated.
Travel restrictions update
From 31 March the Isle of Man Government is planning to move the Island into an ‘endemic approach’ to living with the virus. Travellers will no longer be required to test or isolate when arriving on the Isle of Man. The new rules will apply to both vaccinated and unvaccinated travellers. Great news!
