10k Road Race

Good Friday sees the start of the festival with a 10k road race starting at 6.45pm. Men and women run together although there are, of course, separate prizes for the women. There are also team prizes to be won and awards for the leading veterans and juniors. The race starts by the harbour in Port Erin and heads up to the Promenade and then out of town before following the picturesque coastal footpath to Port St. Mary harbour and returning to Port Erin finishing near to The Bay Pub by the beach. After the race there is live music and food available.

Transport to and from the race can be booked when entering the festival with coaches to Port Erin leaving Douglas from the War Memorial, Central Promenade, Douglas at (tbc). Coaches will return from Port Erin departing from the car park by the railway station (close to the drop off point) – times to be confirmed. Public transport is also available by bus & steam train service if you wish to make your own way down to Port Erin earlier in the day. A bus & rail timetable is available.

Showers and Changing Facilities

These are available before and after the race at race registration situated at Rushen FC Clubhouse, a short walk to the start finish area.
